Eight years. That was how long Diogo Guerreiro and Flavio Jardim spent planning and preparing themselves to an ambitious project of an around the world trip in a sail boat, that finally stared in August 17th, 2008.
Diogo and Flavio are in the Guinness Book as "The longest windsurfing journey in the world". They crossed all the brazilian coast over their windsurf. Now, not only the journey will be longer - around the world - as the boat is bigger!!!
They had embarked in the sail boat Itusca, a 45 feet catamaran (13,70m)

Experienced crew
Diogo Guerreiro andFlavio Jardim, both 27 years old, have thousands of kilometers sailed in Brazil and other countries. Last year, they brought the sail Itusca from Greece, where she was bought, to Brazil.
Both, Diogo and Flavio, are Amateur Captain by the Brazilian Navy and have knowledge in Astronomic Navigation, Meteorology, Naval Mechanic, and others.
They also practices radical sports as surf, windsurf, kitesurf and paddle surf. On board of Itusca, they are bringing all equipments to enjoy and practice these sports.
